Youth Story: "The Shame, Guilt and Horror of Being Stripped Search After School Still Haunts Me"

This comment was made on The Press Democrat's website on an article about a complaint made by youth about mistreatment at Valley of the Moon Children's Home.

It says, "I was there 33 years ago and was stripped searched everyday coming home from school. I was as bad as being molested, which was why I was placed there. The main hall door was locked at night, though our doors weren't. It seems they haven't changed much in 33 years. Also I was not a child who felt entitled back then. I was a 13 year old girl who was scared out of my mind. I thought I was the bad one, that I had done something wrong. The shame, guilt and horror of being stripped search after school still haunts me, Those of you who thin is is just a fast buck trying to be made have no clue!!"
